Great Flood of 1993 (FEMA) IL-HABS Documentation Projects

Following the Great Flood of 1993, Fever River Research prepared Illinois Historic American Building Survey (IL-HABS) documentation packages for 69 historic properties that were significantly damaged by flooding and were included in a buyout program managed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  These properties were spread between Calhoun, Jersey, Monroe, and Randolph counties.  Multiple buildings were recorded in the communities of Grafton, Valmeyer, Harrisonville, and Fults.  Cover documents were prepared for each of these communities, as well as for the rural Monroe County bottoms.  Links to these documentation packages are provided below.  The addition of reports on individual properties is in progress.
